'08 This election is set to be one of the most contentious in U.S. history. This site will help you do your part to take back our government - for the people of this nation and the world over. Over 70% of the American people believe we need to get out of Iraq; but, the current President & Congress are not taking action for peace so we have to step up in the upcoming election. Sorting through Issues & Candidates Peace Action, as a national grassroots organization, has a diverse view on the candidates and issues of this election. We have one uniting idea: 'that war is not a suitable response to conflict and that the U.S. has the means to both protect and provide for it's citizens. Our mission is to provide you with the materials to make an informed choice with your values and our nation's future in mind. You Can Make A Difference The peace movement has suffered from setbacks under the current administration. We have succeeded in turning the tables on the neo cons: the nation is with us and even the most staunch warmonger is questioning the legitimacy, purpose, and sustainability of our global occupations and nuclear policy.
